Once the plant matter is harvested, the essential oils are extracted using steam distillation, cold-pressed, or another natural method. There are few extraction methods that actually give you 100% PURE and all-natural end products. Essential oils produced with the aid of chemical solvents are not considered 100% pure essential oils, because the solvent residues can alter the quality of the oils.
