If you stop to think about everything you have on your to-do list, just how massive is it? How many tasks do you try to juggle and how many hats do you try to wear at the same time at any given moment of any given day? Does the thought of it leave you feeling stressed and overwhelmed? If so, you’re not alone. Being stressed is a far too common state of being. So let’s do something about it!
The Blend
Eye of the Storm is our calming blend. This blend is full of oils with soothing and uplifting properties. It features Lavender, Mandarin, Lemon Eucalyptus, Lemon, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Roman Chamomile, Ylang ylang, Neroli, Rose, and Sandalwood essential oils. Lavender oil is well known for its soothing and relaxing properties. Similarly, Lemon Eucalyptus oil has relaxing properties that can make it easier to wind down a bit. Citrus oils such as Mandarin and Lemon tend to be quite uplifting and can help cheer up your spirits. Cedarwood oil does more than just smell like an antique chest—it can help alleviate stress too. Similarly, Clary Sage can help relieve stress and tension, making it an excellent addition to the blend. Frankincense can elevate feelings of peace and balance, especially when used in conjunction with meditation. Roman Chamomile’s aroma is sweet and comforting, while Ylang ylang is sweet and relaxing, with some measure of uplifting properties. Neroli is also calming and uplifting, making it another natural inclusion in the blend. Rose Absolute is your solution for stressed nerves and relaxation. Similar to Frankincense, Sandalwood can also be used to elevate meditation practices.

Finding Calm in the Midst of Life’s Storms
The reality of life is that it is full of difficulties. To think otherwise is to live outside of reality. Some of those difficulties may be situations that are a natural consequence of your actions, while others may be because of things that have nothing to do with you. As much as you might wish it, you cannot control everything that happens in life. The only thing you always have control over is how you choose to react to and approach any given situation you find yourself in.
The fact of the matter is that past a certain point stress does you no good. In fact, it can be quite harmful to both your physical and mental health.
Find peace when you’re in the middle of a problem with one of these ideas.
Breathe. Take a moment to just relax and let yourself go through the appropriate emotions. Grieve if you need to grieve, cry if you’re fighting back tears. Even laugh if you want to. Try taking a deep breath of Eye of the Storm or your favorite calming oil to get you back on track.
Reframe it. Look at your challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. Decide what you can control and what you can’t. Try looking at it from an outside perspective and you might see it’s not what you thought.
Find the good. There’s always something to be found if you just look hard enough. Find a piece of the situation that you can smile about, maybe even laugh at. Sound hard? Then make something good out of it. Find a friend going through the same thing and be there for them!
Change directions. Direct your energy towards finding a solution rather than spinning in mental circles because you’re stressed. Having a direction to go in or solution to pursue can go a long way towards reducing the stress you might otherwise feel.
Stress has a perfectly natural role in life. It can even be healthy and boost performance when managed well and kept from snowballing out of control. Of course, life tends to pile on stressful circumstances in heaps and bounds. That’s why it’s so important to practice effective stress management techniques that will help you act with discipline and poise even in the eye of the storm.
Elevate your stress management techniques and bring some peace and tranquility into your home with Eye of the Storm.
