Maybe some massage techniques or just diffusing some favorite fall scents to immerse yourself in amazing aromas. It’s a great way to cultivate the perfect environment and mood for your at-home spa day.

Love Your Face

Cold, dry air can really do a number on your face. So can keeping the heater on too high in your home and taking long, hot showers, for that matter. Sure, they feel amazing, especially right after you come in from the unforgiving cold. Still, extreme temperatures and such tend to suck moisture from your skin, especially the delicate tissues of your face.

Face masks can be a great way to give your skin some of the moisture it so desperately needs back. Popular ingredients include things like avocado, honey, sugar, lemon, oats, aloe vera, yogurt, and coffee. Each of these ingredients offer benefits to your skin like moisturizing, cleansing, and exfoliating.

Instead of dealing with dry skin all fall and winter long, give your face some TLC with our Pumpkin Facial Mask. You probably have most of the ingredients already, especially if you’ve been doing any fall-themed cooking.

Pumpkin Facial Mask Recipe:

  • ⅓ c pumpkin puree
  • ¼ c ground oats
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp raw honey or facial oil of your choice
  • 3 drops of Soothing, our skin rejuvenation blend

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and stir until you achieve a creamy consistency. Place the mixture in a glass jar and store it in your fridge until you’re ready to use it.

Fallify It!

Clove Bud blends well with oils like Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, Lemon, Orange, Peppermint, and Rose Absolute. Bergamot and Orange are two of the oils that Ginger Root blend well with. Nutmeg is great with Lavender, Clary Sage, Orange, and other spice-derived oils. Cinnamon Bark is quite similar, blending well with Lavender, Clary Sage, Orange, and Lemon. As you can see, it’s not too difficult to mix and match oils to create something that will be beneficial to your skin and have an amazingly warm and cozy aroma.

Fall is just the beginning of the end of the year magic. It’s also the beginning of the holiday rush. Treat yourself to your favorite autumnal aromas with your very own DIY spa day. Just make sure you give yourself some time to prepare properly. As with any new oil you try, it’s always a good idea to do a spot test to test for sensitivity before indulging in it. Keep in mind that with oils like Cinnamon Bark, a little goes a very long way. Make sure your oils are properly diluted before you use them so you can safely and happily immerse yourself in the amazing aroma that your favorite fall scents have to offer.
